Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 150 g Butter, softened
- 30 g Cannabis leaves, stems and flowers or combination of these chopped fine
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- ½ cup Caster sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups Plain flour
- ½ cup Milk chocolate bits
- ½ cup Dark chocolate bits
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chopped cannabis Leave for a few minutes then take off the heat and let the butter and cannabis mixture cool. Leave for a few hours or overnight
- Preheat oven to 180C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper
- Using an electric mixer or whisking by hand, beat the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar till the mixture is creamy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined
- Stir in the flour and blend thoroughly
- Stir in milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips, reserving some for the top of the cookies
- Roll 2 level teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on the prepared tray. Press down slightly to make a nice flat shaped cookie. Add bits of chocolate on top and lightly press in
- Put the cookies in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cookies are a golden brown and cooked through – they should be firm to the touch of a finger
- Remove cooked cookies and set aside to cool
