Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookies

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Set of measuring cups
  • 1 Set of scales
  • 1 Electric mixer
  • 1 Baking tray With baking paper

Ingredients

  • 150 g Butter, softened
  • 30 g Cannabis leaves, stems and flowers or combination of these chopped fine
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ½  cup Caster sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups Plain flour
  • ½  cup Milk chocolate bits
  • ½  cup Dark chocolate bits

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chopped cannabis Leave for a few minutes then take off the heat and let the butter and cannabis mixture cool. Leave for a few hours or overnight
  • Preheat oven to 180C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper
  • Using an electric mixer or whisking by hand, beat the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar till the mixture is creamy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined
  • Stir in the flour and blend thoroughly
  • Stir in milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips, reserving some for the top of the cookies
  • Roll 2 level teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on the prepared tray. Press down slightly to make a nice flat shaped cookie. Add bits of chocolate on top and lightly press in
  • Put the cookies in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cookies are a golden brown and cooked through – they should be firm to the touch of a finger
  • Remove cooked cookies and set aside to cool
