Equipment

  • 1 Basins
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Baking tray Lined with baking paper

Ingredients

  • 250 g Flour
  • 125 g Currants
  • 125 g Mixed peal
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 30 g Candied peel
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 60 g Butter
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 190 degrees
  • Sift the flour into a basin
  • Rub in the butter lightly
  • Add the peel, sugar, and baking powder to the other ingredients
  • Beat up egg and milk in a separate basin
  • Add this to the other ingredients and make into a very stiff dough
  • Take up a little bits of the dough and form into lumps and put them on the baking tray
  • Bake for about 15 minutes
